Second time to Chicago - @ Navy Pier there was this tremendous bubble generator, constantly pushing bubbles out of a big container and onto the ground. Kids were running under the bubbles while grown-ups were also laughing and jumping up and down. It was a precious moment to capture and to enjoy. 

I really like the few random shots of the kids. There were a lot of people that day. But with the close-ups into one or two faces, you can see their happiness yet also a momentary freeze of the empty, bubble filled space around them.

I also photograph engagement photos here at Boston. I love the smiles and the hugs that celebrate the most wonderful moments in your life. Sometimes there's no need for wedding dress,  heavy make-up or jewelries that you would never wear again -- there's you, your partner, and the simply daily love that will last forever.

Hangzhou Foreign Languages School (HFLS), June 2015

My best friend from HFLS Alice Shen and I proposed this project in 2015, 5 years after our high school graduation, to put on our school uniforms and go back to HFLS for a DIY photo shoot. That summer also marked the end of this campus, as HFLS was moving to another place in the following fall.  This project was a fulfillment of our wishes to be “forever 16”, studying and playing on our beloved HFLS campus where we met life-long friends and planted the boldest dreams.
